School Report Card

The State of Wisconsin has a school and district accountability system that assesses schools and districts in several priority areas, including students' performance on state tests, graduation rates, and closing achievement gaps for specific groups of students. The report, commonly referred to as the School Report Card, is updated and released annually.  These reports are meant to help parents understand how their child's school is doing and where it can improve. Each school annually receives an 'Overall Score' that places a school in one of five rating categories ranging from Significantly Exceeds Expectations to Fails to Meet Expectations. The 0-100 index is not “percent correct, ” but rather an overall score that is computed by weighting the various priority area sub-scores.
