Scrip is one of the CG PTO’s most successful fundraising programs. Scrip is just another way to pay for everyday purchases using gift cards in place of cash, checks and credit cards. Scrip fundraising allows you to raise money for our school without selling anything – and it doesn’t cost you a dime!

You buy gift cards at face value from the PTO and you spend the full face value of the card. The PTO purchases the cards at a reduced price. The difference is an instant profit for our school. It’s really that simple!

What many people don't know is you can purchase e-cards and refill cards from your cell phone! It is very easy!

When you use Scrip gift cards at your favorite local and national retailers, you’re fundraising while you shop. We have all the biggest brands including grocery, department stores, gas stations, restaurants, home improvement and more, as well as many local businesses! It’s time to put your shopping dollars to work! 

Last year, the CG PTO raised over $4,500 from Scrip sales. PTO funds were used for cultural arts events, books for the schools, teacher appreciation events and more. This year, we hope to help set aside funding for our new elementary school. You can help by ordering Scrip cards today!

Local restaurants partner with the PTO to offer "PTO Night".  On the event date, the restaurant will donate a percentage of the net sales to the PTO.  Enjoy an evening out with family and friends!

The PTO Fall Festival is our biggest fund-raiser of the year!  We made approximately $15,000 in just one day!

This event is fun for all ages and includes:

• Amazing Silent Auction

Every year, the PTO sponsors several Scholastic Book Fairs to raise money and buy books for our schools.  Last year, we made over $1,200 and were able to purchase books at a discount from Scholastic for our libraries. 

Back-to-School shopping is a breeze with these convenient kits packed with everything your child needs! Kits are ordered in the spring and delivered at Back to School Night in August.

You probably already do!  If you've ordered Spirit Wear, a Bucky Book, or a School Supply Kit; provided food for Parent-Teacher conference, or showed up at the Sock Hop or Bingo Night, your have supported WSFO.

Ready to get involved? Here's what you can do:

• Attend a WSFO meeting (in person and/or virtually).  Child care is always available during in-person meetings!

• Chair an event or fundraiser, or volunteer to help.

• Purchase coffee, spirit wear, or any of the other wonderful items we sell throughout the year.

• When safe to do so, attend our events with your entire family.

• Bake, cook, or make a donation for teacher-appreciation programming.

• Donate money or items needed for various events and activities.

• Bring new ideas to the board - email us at pto.monona@gmail.com  or bring an idea to any WSFO meeting.

• In order to meet this goal, the WSFO encourages that families contribute in the form of fundraisers and events. We also understand that some would rather bypass the fundraisers and events and donate directly, and that some would like to give a little extra.
• We want to offer the opportunity to donate any amount directly to the WSFO via PayPal, cash or check.
  • Checks can be made out to Monona PTO. Have your child return the check/cash to their teacher in an envelope marked “Monona PTO”, or mail it directly to Winnequah: 800 Greenway Road, Monona WI, 53716.
  • Donate electronically via PayPal. Donations can be made by PayPal/debit/credit card in any amount, and can even be set up to recur monthly.
  • Monona PTO Inc is a 501c3 non-profit. Your donation is likely tax deductible. Check with your employer about matched donations.
• Every dollar helps us reach our goal - no amount is too small. Please share the online donation page with friends and family who might want to participate and help raise funds for our kids.

The Monona PTO After-School Enrichment Program provides extra-curricular classes to Winnequah's K-5 students offering added opportunities for learning, fun, and skill development while giving back to our school community.

Due to the COVID-19 pandemic and school district policies, the After-School Enrichment Program is on temporary hold. Stay tuned as we hope to start bringing back programs in 2022 (pandmic-permitting).

Have suggestions for classes? Want to volunteer to teach a class? Email the after-school program. 

For those parents with kiddos enrolled in a class, please note the following important reminders:

• All classes run from 2:45 - 3:45pm
• Students are expected to register for the entire class
• Classes are offered to specific grade levels
• You will receive an email confirming whether or not your child is enrolled before the first week of class
• Thank you in advance for picking your student up from their class location promptly at 3:45 pm
• Remember to notify your student’s classroom teacher of their class enrollment
• Students in grades K-1 will be picked up from their classrooms after school and walked to their after-school class

This program is fee-based. This is because we have class expenses and we fundraise for Winnequah School. Expenses include paying for class instructors and class materials, as well as paying for class scholarships. Most net revenue is given directly back to Winnequah classroom teachers while a portion is retained in a program fund for some of the expenses listed above. Consider it along the lines of a Parks and Rec class program with a fundraiser twist.

We are looking for someone to help organize the meals donated by our parents.

Please send a message via the GDS PTO Facebook page for more information on the volunteer positions needed. We'd love to hear from you!

Show our teachers how much we appreciate them with an Appreciation Week in May.  We also provide meals for teachers during conference nights.

Provide scholarships to student clubs and organizations so all can participate.

Raise money for our schools, which is used for technology, playground equipment, and other school needs.  

Provide an opportunity for parents to hear from school administrators and ask questions during monthly meetings.

This is a commitment for a month at a time to fill SCRIP orders.
